Still in the learning process but loving the product. Warmer weather will allow me to get outside to use an electric sander to get a smoother finish to scorch. Hopefully that will allow me to get less bleed through.

Easy to apply. Burns into wood very nice. Found that using sponge brush helps a lot. I tried regular brush and it didn’t work well because pushed up under stencil.

Here is my 1st project. I have had huskies for 30 years...on our 7th. Which is the paw print in my design. I did an inked print of Sequoia's paw & added it to this design so it's very meaningful. Still learning but really happy with my 1st design. Learning & growing.

I love it im learning how to freehand with this marker so I can make custom scortch paint designs. If you ever come out with a much thinner marker that will be aweme for drawing and scorching. (Hint). #idea. Credit to me lol. Look forward t lo getting more product.

This scorch paint is amazing! It applies easily, burns perfectly, and washes off brushes and clothing super easily. It was an absolute joy to use less than 3 jars of this to make every single sign in my giant art installation called NotDeadYet.earth. It was my first time using it and it was just so so easy. Super easy to sponge through a paper stencil and then heat. Three coats of polyurethane and it's done. Clean burn with no odor!

I love this stuff!

Works great and as intended. Not practical for things that will get surface use like cutting boards unless coated like the jar says. I used bees wax so I can still feel the burn marks should have used a clear coat.

I made sure to sand and I used their pretreatment. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a liquid or a gel. It was solid until I stirred it some to be able to use my stencil brush, then it was more of a liquid. It did run in a few places even with the pretreatment. Overall from a distance it's ok. I plan to stain after I do the other side and may highlight with some paint to mask the run spots.

Very simple and easy to use, excellent results

The paint worked as expected. I was impressed at how little I needed to apply. The paint is very thick and while I was able to get some out for a small project, I am curious if I will be left with a hard sludge after awhile that cannot be used.

This product works great for DYI projects that you want to look professional. It's easy to use and fascinating to watch change as you apply heat. Make sure to follow directions on product descriptions because it is important to achieve the perfect results. I love this and it made my sign making business go up a level, so happy I discovered this on my favorite place to shop Amazon!

It's fine but it can be difficult to work with because it clumps up easily. And while it kind of has the look of actual wood burning, it varies widely for the darkness. Personally, if you want something for your kids so they aren't working with a white hot piece of metal or you need to cover a larger space for shillouettes this is probably what you're looking for.

It took awhile to get here. But seller was in contact with me the whole time.

Works as advertised. If you are using a plastic or mylar stencil, put some Elmer's school glue on the down side of the stencil or the scorch gel will bleed underneath. The heat-to-blacken portion took about 3 minutes to complete on a 3x3 stencil. Remember to seal the wood after to retain the burn or it will turn reddish again. I really can't wait to do more with it.

Great product for many projects

Used scorch paint to customize my personal stool with my favorite animal the paint works great every time.

I mean yea it works. I think any trouble you would have is with user error but it's pretty straightforward

This was one of the easiest crafts I have ever tried. I followed the directions in the video, and I had great results.

Very easy to use it's more of a paste so the more you add the darker it gets o put on 2 coats with the first one air drying then added a second. The only thing is the drying time it takes awhile to dry with a 300w heat gun but turned out pretty good for first time use. It's not mess I used a small paint brush and the quality is good I thought it was going to be runnier but it's a paste value for the money it's a tab bit expensive

Never used something like this before. Little but of a learning curve. A little goes a long way and dont use a wide brush. Lol also I learned the longer you hold the heat over the paint the darker it gets. First one still had a purple tint to it then I did the second one and learned that it goes darker.

Works really well. I use torch paste as well. They both have there advantages. This one is a bit easier to me. It is thinner and you have to be careful not to use too much. With the paste you scrape off the excess and store for future use. This is more paint like. Give it a try.

EXTREMELY happy with the result!! 8 yr old grandson helped Grandpa sand the blanks, I (grandma) created the stencils of his choice, used my new improved Scorch paint. The burning experience was soooo cool! This worked so much better than the original formula that I used on bamboo cutting boards at Christmas. This new formula burned quicker and darker without getting the bare wood discolored at all! We are all very very happy with the result.

I recommend watching YouTube how to video. Also, use adhesive if you are using stencils. That helps prevent bleeding. Works as advertised.

Ordered this when I was in a pinch to get my husband something special for his first Father's Day and I'm so happy I did. I made a stencil out of our baby's handprint, sanded, painted it onto a cutting board and got this amazing result in a few of minutes. My husband adores it and we keep it displayed in the kitchen now! Also, amazing value. I still have so much product left for future keepsakes. I'm going to use it for so many more keepsakes and gifts.

I love this stuff. The adhesive stencils made it so easy to make a crisp image on the wood. The sanding system made a super smooth surface with little effort. So happy with the projects.

We tried other stuff and this stuff really works!!! It doesn't take very long to burn - unlike the other products!!!!

A bit tricky, but eventually figured out how to get it to work.

We run a Bass Fishing Tournament Trail and make all of our own plaques to keep the expenses down. We have tried many different things but we like this one the best. The time spent and cost per item is significantly less than what we have done in the past. It was so easy and we love the results. We used cricut to create the design and used the scorch paint to burn the design into the plaques. We only wish the jar was bigger because we ran out before all the plaques were made.

Great item. Does just what it says it does. Very easy to use.

This is a really cool product. We did a craft night with new to woodworking DIY'ers. The trick is to use the stencil and apply very lightly. Too much bleeds thru the stencil. But the guys enjoyed being able to "burn" the wood and we were glad for an option using a heat gun rather than fire. Very cool!

This is a sign for our house to hang outside by the front door. We’re very outdoorsy and live out in the country, where we often have visits from a resident Barred Owl and deer. I used Scorch Paint because it creates such amazing, crisp black detail in the picture.

Great texture and very easy to work with. However, I noticed some bleeding under the stencil, even with extra burnishing. Compared to another brand I use that's thicker BUT gave me sharper lines. It really comes down to how good your stencil is and what finish you prefer.

Absolutely love it. I can't wait to use it on an actual project, I tried it on a small piece of wood just to try it out and instantly fell in love.

Stays a little sticky. Tried using less and then heating it twice. That works better. It's a good product. I will buy again.

Good paint, does burn black but as burn sits, it does turn red.

Works exactly as described in advertisement. If you are using it on a soft wood such as Pine I would definitely pre-treat the wood. It dries quickly and depending on the strength of your heat source, darkens fast.

I ordered not sure of the product. It works great value for the money. It's cool it goes on purple dry quick when you heat it up it becomes black like burn on.

I have been using the Scorch Marker paste and oil for a while on my cutting boards. I just started using the pretreatment on this piece that I did of my dog that passed away, and I can't say enough how extremely happy I am with how it turned out. I started wood scorching about 6 months ago and when I found this brand it was a game changer and it's my go-to.

I think this product is pretty amazing. As a person who has used fancy wood burners, this product is a nice stand in for wood burners. There's no smell while applying the product, and the only smell I noticed was when I used the heat gun to activate the product. Even then, to me it only smelled like I was using an actual wood burner and got a burning wood smell. The pictures I'm sharing aren't of anything fancy, just a quick, let's see how well this works test.

Ive tried several burning solutions. This BY FAR is the best one. It burns clean lines, no bleed. It seems to burn fast enough that I no longer get that darker wood around my stencil from having to heat it so long. Will order this 100x's over anything else.

It works amazingly, the smell when you use the heat gun was not expected but if your not in a big area just know it's there. It took a bit longer to get the burnt look then what I thought too, but don't be like me and get to close, the heat gun will burn the wood if held too close or for too long in one spot. It was fun other then me thinking I did it wrong, if you use a paper towel to take off the extra paint it will leave marks but once you heat it they go away.

This is by far the easiest and most beautiful way to wood burn. It's well worth the $20.

Haven't sealed yet but product worked well on love edge wood and using stencils. 1st time using but works well. Have a few more signs to make before next year's Halloween and much quicker then sitting with wood burner.

I am a gourd artist and usually use wood burning tools to make a design on a gourd. I found your Scorch Paint online and decided to give it a try. First time I tried, it didn't stick to well to the smooth surface of the gourd, (didn't lightly sand area first, my bad), so I had to do some touchup with a black marker. Will try again on another gourd.

Great product. I was skeptical before ordering but it works exactly as advertised. This is a game changer for my projects. Time saver for sure.

I sanded it, used the pretreatment , the burn paint, used my heat gun after wiping off the excess, it burned so pretty and black, put the finishing oil on. And a few days later my beautiful black burn looks like this. What did I do wrong?

Love this! Saw on Tiktok when I was looking for ideas for Christmas present DIYs. A few tips. Silk screens are the best way to get an even coat. If you do not have silkscreen make sure you take a card or similar tool and swipe excess. Make sure you burn completely or sticky. DO NOT USE POLY ACRYLIC. I saw on videos where people used but when I did it ruined my project and virtually erased my design. I would stick with an oil or wax finish.

My name is Dave. I was working on a custom poker table and the customer wanted me to add his personal logo. I found scorch paint online from a ad and decided to try it. I was very impressed how easy it was to apply. This saved me so much time by not having to router it out. I had a question about what I could use to protect the logo and they were very responsive with very good options. Here is a pick of of the final project.

I used my sister’s cricut and made cute stencils for some cutting boards and used the scotch paint as intended. Once I had a good layer on I let it sit a minute and then peeled the stencil off. Cleaned up a few edges and blasted the cutting board with a heat gun! They came out wonderful and the family loved them as Xmas gifts! I even gave my new boyfriend’s mom one for Xmas and she was thrilled! ♥️

Doesn't work as well with regular stencils, the paint gets underneath the cut outs. Overall did as it stated. I wish there was a way to make them colored, that would be cool.

I'm still getting the hang of this stuff.. but a little patience, and the right stencils...you'll be good to go. I finished the rooster picture and sold within a couple hours of finishing. People like the looks this product helps create.

Sequence board game. I used hickory wood and used Scorch paint for all the lines and cards. I wanted a rustic look for the board.

First time using scorch paint and I love it! Couldn’t have been easier! I made a sign for my mother in laws new RV and she loved it!

I tried the off brand pens and they left a yellowish outer rim on the burn and the burn was not as crisp as with Scorch Paint. I love your product and will definitely order more to make more projects. Your video tutorial on how to use scorch paint with reusable stencil was very useful. BTW, I made the pickle ball paddles for everyone in the office. (Total of 14) I am stationed at Fort Benning and the office is very competitive so I made them as Christmas gifts for everyone.

I used Scorch Marker for the first time during Maker Gonna Learn virtual Christmas Craft week. I loved the easy and final results of this product. Watch out wood I’m coming for you!

We are experimenting on inexpensive Dollar tree cutting boards at the moment. We did not have luck with the hard plastic cut out stencils, but we did love the vinyl silk screen ones. We will be using our cricket to try that next our hope is to make customize cutting boards for everyone in the family for Christmas.

Love this, my project came out perfect.

Must have finish on top after use. If you dont it will turn pink/red again and won't go back black. After you brush it on, you will need to remove excess or it won't finish correctly. Had to learn the hard way.

Just got this scorch paint yesterday. Tried it in my wood shop and turned out fantastic. I used a stencil that was self adhesive and first try it worked. Looks just like wood burning but four times faster. I am really going to make some cool stuff with this. I would recommend this product. I think the secret is self adhesive stencils so they do not move.

Very easy to use with great results every time

This is my first time using scorch paint. I like the results, everyone says what I make looks professional. I think with practice you can get the hang of using the gel and spreading it evenly. If there were more detailed instructions on how to use it that would be helpful.

I initially tried a different scorch gel that I purchased from Amazon, but I wasn't impressed with the results. Then I discovered your product and decided to give it a try. I have to say, yours is absolutely the best! I won't use anything else. It's easy to apply, has no toxic smell, and my project turned out even better than I expected for my first attempt.

Difficult to use with mylar stencils without bleeding issues. Definitely recommend self-adhesive stencils. A little gel goes a long way.

Paint worked great. I used stencils to create a sign and then a heat gun. I tested it first. I painted on and wiped down with a paper towel and then did one without wiping down. I found that the darker you want your image the more paint and heat you want. I was skeptical at first but it works great.

Scorch Paint has opened up so many project possibilities. I have learned that you need to use the product sparingly to get the best results, which is what I did with this bread board. Apply it, blot it with a paper towel, and hit it with the heat gun. I also enjoy laser projects but this product gives me the sharp contrast I want quickly without the dust and time commitment of laser work.

I used Scorch Paint for my project. I used a silk screen winter scene stencil. Look at all the intricate details with this stencil and with no bleeding under the stencil. I sanded the cutting board prior to placing the stencil. I added some bees wax and topped it off with a red bow. This cutting board is used as wall decor. I also make them as a cutting board as well with some bees wax. Thanks for creating Scorch Paint and I can't wait till your paste comes out!

Wanted a magnet as a wedding giveaway! Wood burning paint to the rescue! So much fun! It helps having a Cricut maker!

Amazing to work with. This was my first project (obviously messed up a little bit) but it helped me with my second project (not pictured). I love this and will continue to work with it. Honestly a little goes a LONG way.

The images come out crisp and clear. I love using Scorch Paint on all of my wood burning projects!

I used my Cricut to cut out a stencil for this board. It was so fast and easy to use the Scorch Marker and paint, and I think it turned out great. Was a Christmas Gift, and they loved it!

I created a personalized cutting board for our new pastor and his wife as a housewarming gift. I used a Scorch Marker Pro and a Scorch Marker heat gun. This was my first ever wood burning project and it turned out great!

I work a lot with wood and gourds. I like how it turns out on wood but as far as the gourds go, it does not work that good. But I guess it makes it easier to get the design you want onto the gourds before you start the process.
Otherwise yes it is fun to use. The picture I’m posting was just a picture I drew up to try your product.

It comes out a little blotchy sometimes. I thing it would be cool if it can with more types of tips like a fine tip for lines and the one you currently have out for filling in big areas. Or if you sold little bottle of the liquid andit could be used like paint with a paint brush. But it's super cool and I use it with stencils.

This product is one of the best additions to my shop. It makes customizing so easy and if you make a mistake just sand off and start over. Only thing I wish was if the brush was a little stronger I end up using the pen side only.

It was really simple to use. Once you’re using the hot gun, your picture is burned quickly and beautifully. My one suggestion would be to make a thing pointy tip in addition to the regular scorch pen already made. Love this!

This is the first project I've used the Scorch Marker Pro on. The marker was so easy to use!! I wish I could say the weeding of the vinyl was as easy! LOL The cutting board isn't perfect but I LOVE it none the less. This marker is perfect for a beginner, like me! I have a bunch of these bamboo slabs that I have etched. The etcher (because of the hardness of the Bamboo) leaves some white streaks in the final product. In the future I will Scorch them instead of etch. I touched them up with the Scorch pen and they turned out just like I wanted.

This is the best and easiest way to burn something onto wood. Just outline color it in and burn. I used a Wagner heat gun and took about 20-30 seconds. The more you heat the darker it gets.

This was just a test but it did pretty well. Make sure you know the keys to make sure it’s not bleeding under the stencil. Do some testing first.

I had a friend make a wooden puzzle for our family ornaments this Christmas. Some family worried that we couldn’t expand our family. I took photos copies of two pieces of the puzzle, duplicated them with my skill saw and used your product to add the decorations on the front side and our names on the back, proving we can add to the puzzle building up from the back where family names are.

It leaked out in the package. So hadn't tried it. This company sent me a replacement. That is good customer service. Thank you. Tried it on a small spot. Works great. Thanks for this.

Great product! Works as advertised. I would highly recommend practicing before using on the final product. Additionally, a heat gun works the best. I tried several heat sources but the heat gun was flawless.

I used the different paint stuff on this one. This is a clock for the CEO of the electric coop retirement. I made my own stencils out of vinyl. This one I finished with varnish at the end. I love all the products and can't wait for the next project!

Wanted to try the Scorch Marker pen so bad! I used my son's cat, Adele, (as a model) to put on a mini chopping board and I was blown away by how easy the SM pen is to use! Love it!

Made this with the stencil that came with my Scorch Marker and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use!! The stencils they sent however did not stick at all so I had to tape them down but luckily I have a cutting machine to make my own stencils in the future! This was super easy to use and will be doing a lot more wood projects in the future!!

This was my very first time using this product. It went on way easier than I expected. When I pulled the stencil away it didn’t bleed through and gave me great lines. I was really unsure of how it was going to go since I had purchased the board at dollar general to practice with and it was bamboo and that was not listed as anything recommends. It didn’t get as dark as I wanted but I may try heating it more. Can’t wait to make more.

I was so excited to see your product as a Special Education Teacher I am always looking at various crafts that look amazing. My students had an interest in wood burning but do to safety concerns we could not do it. If you can give me some pointers or feedback that would be great. Used cricut vinyl, hair dryer yo make sure it was firmly attached.

I'll admit, my first experience was a fail, but I persevered and tried again. I made my sister a set of coasters for mother's day. I prefer the pen side to the brush side as there were more details, but overall it's a wonderful addition to a crafter's toolbox!

I used this wood material but, it is not appropriate for Scorch Marker. I needed to do a test run to see what not to use with your product. I can’t wait to use it again 😊

The finer tip was a little disappointing as I expected it to be a little more firm. Took a little getting used to but quickly adjusted and was putting out too level projects in a few minutes.

I am new to this and just starting out. I tried the normal wood burning process, but failed. I love being able to make beautiful wood burnt items that I can be proud of. Still a work in progress, but it can only get better! Thank you for a great product!

I'm thinking there is a difference in the temp for burning between the new fine tip and the regular markers. I also had to go over the painted on areas (using the attached brush) and yes shook it for awhile. I've had the regular markers for about 6 mos. Does the burning solution weaken or go bad? thanks Deb Ball

I love the new 2mm & the Pro marker! They enabled me to make these special gifts! Would love the tips of the markers to not be so soft so they hold their shape but they are great!

A friend of mine asked me to make her some custom name plates for her kids.
I used the scotch pen to do the names. I love the oven darkness that it gives me and it is super easy to use! Just beware when you are trying to prime the pen that it can puddle out if you press to hard. So do not prime it on your project! 😊 This is the second time I bought a pen from these guys. And will definetly get more in the future. Processing and Shipping did seem to take a little bit though. So order ahead if you can 😊

I love the ease with using the pen! Once I was finished with the heat gun I went over it with an ultra fine black paint pen to highlight some areas. I didn’t need to but I wanted a little darker line.

Ordering process was easy and was delivered quickly. It was very easy to use.

There's definitely a learning curve to the process, as you can see I left the heat gun in a few areas a little too long but I love the technique. The fact that the cutting board wasn't new, but used probably had a lot to do with it also. You have to give the heat gun some time to work, it's not instant so be patient. I tried it on cedar and walnut too. Walnut is not a good choice to use but cedar is awesome!

I found that the marker works well but you must wait a while for it to dry first. I drew the sketch first with pencil. It was important because the marker is invisible until heated.

I made myself a charcuterie board for Christmas! It was an old cutting board that my brother used 30 years ago to filet fish on. I sanded it down, created a vinyl stencil on my Cricut, and Voila! I really love how this worked! One thing it doesn’t say on the package is that you have to let it dry completely before you add heat to it , so good thing I did a practice and watched videos before I did my main project.

So glad that I used a $1 blank from Dollar Tree for my first try. I learned an awful lot by just doing that one blank. I'm confident that the remaining blanks will be much better. It's so easy to use and such fun watching the image appear with a heat gun.

I dreaded the thought of using a wood burning tool because I have burnt myself so many times in the past. When I saw this product, I jumped on it. I created my laundry room stencil and went to work, it has a learning curve but once you get the hang of it you are golden. I didn't have a heat gun but my craft one so it took a little longer but turned out great. The only complaint is we sampled some stains with the marker and our sample disappeared so I couldn't stain my project but it still turned out.

Just learning how to make the scorch pen but it has been fun getting use to what I can create.

I love how easy Scorch Markers are to use! Each project doesn't take long at all to make. Only downside is, running out of wood and ideas. That is because each marker lasts a long time! LOVE IT!

Great product! I recommend using a hot air gun instead of an embossing fan which I used for a darker result.

I used Stencil Mask vinyl from 143vinyl to create the words that are burned with my ScorchMarker. I used my Cricut and permanent vinyl for the colored words.

I used the Markers on a couple of our horseshoe coaster sets. We do alot of wood crafts. These are perfect.

Super easy to use! I made a stencil with my cricut - put it on the wood, filled in the open areas with the scorch marker, removed the stencil, went over it with my heat gun and it was done! This is the one of the funnest and easiest products to use. Thank you scorch marker!

Love this scorch marker! This was my first time using it for detailed work and I have to say it was so easy! I just put my vinyl on and filled in the areas I wanted with the marker let it dry like 2 minutes and used my heat gun and boom! it came out great!

The new pens seem to have better billet tips, but I’m not sure if something changed with the liquid... needs several coats to get a nice burn.

This was my first set of coasters. The markers are really easy to use and you don't need a lot of product. I've never done burned art before, but I'm assuming it's much easier than dealing with equipment. I used a torch but some people said they've used a heat press. Will purchase again.

I sanded some wood and made a plaque for my friends who just wed. The lines aren't the greatest but for first time use it did good. I'm sure using a stencil next time would help with cleaner lines.

I really like the scorch marker. It would have been helpful to have instructions on prepping the marker for use, but it was simple enough to figure out. Plus, I would like it more if there is a fine point tip available.

It was super fun and easy after you got the hang of it. I used a bamboo cutting board that I think had a finish on it which ruined a couple attempts but after I really sanded it and I mean REALLY sanded it came out how I imagined.

THIS MARKER IS INCREDIBLE! I’ve always loved the look of pyrography but don’t have the artistic skill to hand burn. Using this marker and stencil vinyl looks just as good and is so fun! Note: If you are burning inside... make sure you have a fan in the window blowing fresh air in or you will inevitably set your fire alarm off! 😂

I was hoping for more of a burned texture on the wood. It did great and I love the smell of the toasty wood but it does kinda look just like black paint if you’re not paying attention.

The scorcher pen is one the best additions to my shop. So many ideas come to life easily now and even if you don't like how it turned out or made a mistake just sand it away and start over.

We made these Christmas ordiments at the Merom Public Library.

With the scorch marker, it makes signing everything I make easier. I use to fiddle with burn tools, but now just a regular signature, and a few seconds of the heat gun, and a finish and your done! Can’t wait to try this on some other things! But my main purpose of this purchase has been filled! Highly recommended!

Worked just as described. Amazing and easy. I printed a design, cut it out, and traced it with the marker onto my project. Let dry a little then used heat gun to get desired results. Awesome.

I think I have two issues. The wood was about 2 years drug but I sanded it a bit beforehand and it became sappy. Secondly, I think my heat gun is not hot enough. This was just a test piece but it took a lot longer to burn than I expected. Not giving up!

I made a family name sign with my scorch marker! I think the only thing I would’ve like to have had is the ability to cover more area with the liquid at a time. Maybe more like a can of paint w/ a brush! I tried both ends of the pen, and they worked great otherwise! Will buy again in the future!

The marker made it alot easier to create a burnt brand on a customer's boards. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was I had issues with the tip staying down and not pushed back in the pen. Definitely will use again

It would be good if it had a fine point tip as well as a chiseled tip also, could do more delicate designs.

I really enjoyed trying the Scorch Marker with wood slice ornaments to get a head start on Christmas. The marker tip worked great with my stencil and I'm exceedingly happy with the finished product! Can't wait to finish the set for my whole tree!

I had a really easy time making my little sign for my Oct gnome. He sits outside so everyone can see him and his sign if they come to the door. Will be using the scorch again and again. Was so easy and looks really great.

This is my first project with my Scorch pen. I’m so thrilled at how it turned out! I tried with both flame and heat gun and liked the control the heat gun gave me over the scorch personally.
